| What is a roleplaying game? If you are unfamiliar with the term, roleplaying is "To assume or act out a particular role." To add the game part to it, you just have to make it fun. Here, on MML's Hidden Crossroads, you can assume the role of a character who will explore the continent of Pethia, where the Labs reside, and if you so choose, raise and battle your very own pet monsters! This is a literature-based roleplaying game, so it involves quite a lot of typing, not just clicking on buttons - and it's also interactive with hundereds of other players. In addition to which, if you're really bored and have a few a few friends at home who'd like to play with you, you could even play this game while sitting around your living room. If this game had a rating, I'd like to say it resembles "pg-13", so keep the cursing to a minimum, and avoid doing anything that would heavily offend other players. You are also not allowed to use any material owned by somebody other than yourself... you cannot name your character "mickey mouse" or "harry potter". Not only is it illegal, but it's rude - and this is an entirely different world! The very first thing you should do when designing a character (before you even sign up for the site), is to figure out what your character is going to be like. What species is your character? Where did they come from? Are they a mage? A warrior? A farmer? How do they fit into the world, what's their little niche? The best place to start grasping for ideas is the Race picker.
