Species Standards
Prefered Habitat: These creatures are not well designed for the wild, as they have no instincts to protect
themselves - therfore they cannot survive in the wild... They need to be kept in a safe environment, basically
anything that can sustain a human.
Diet: These creatures are strict herbavores, and prefer to eat grass... Giving them treats of vegetables and
various fruits is not unheard of.
Call: This creature is known to make a sound that is similar to "Boop-Boop-Boo?"
Special Care Needs: These creatures are very easy to take care of - in fact, they're so easy to take care of
that parents often like to give them to small children as pets or companions.
Special Care Needs: They swim around using delicate frills to "wave" through the water - they really are
delicate, and if they ever get damaged, the poor little creature will surely die - for they are also it's gills... In
their juvie stage of life though, they require nothing - as they're made of stone, it seems... Once they reach
their adult stage however, they don't seem to have any care needs.. as they can be rather independent.
Biology and Anatomy: Only the Males have Tail-Orbs, which can glow, or flash a bright light - usually when
they're very happy. These creatures' developement is rather strange - as their baby stage is more of a
"move-able embryo", which grows and changes until it finally reaches it's "adult" stage, which is the
equivilent (for most creatures) of a baby.. only for them, they're able to breed. The final stage is their most
mature stage, where they've finally finished growing in all their fur, and can move about rather easily - with
swift and long hops.
Behavioral Study: These creatures are completely non-agressive. They were designed to have very friendly
and docile behaviors - so that they can be easily handled, trained, and bred. It is rumored that there are
differences between male and female, that will show up as the creatures age.
Suggested Uses: These creatures were designed to be bred by the every-day person. Because of their
docile and affectionate nature, people often like to have these creatures as household pets. Breeding is
also a way of competition for most people - to see if they can get the most spectacular colors. Well.. that is,
they -used- to be breedable, but.. Over time, their genetics broke down, and they're now all sterile.
Basic: The basic Orbaru "breed" is the "breeds" that were available for adoption.. they were different only in
coloration... They were Red, Blue, and Yellow.
Second Generation: The second generation Orbaru "breeds" were those that were aquired only from
breeding basic Orbaru.. They were special in color, and could only be aquired through breeding. They were
Green, Orange, and Purple.
Third Generation: The thrid generation of Orbaru "breeds" were those that were aquired only from breeding
second generation Orbaru.. They were special in color, and could only be aquired through breeding. They
were Sherbert, Terran, and Venom.
Albino Orbaru: The Albino Orbaru was a special color of Orbaru - only aquired from the the very best of
breeders. Unforutunately, the Albino orbaru was also sterile, and could not reproduce.
Brown Orbaru: The Brown Orbaru was the "dud" Orbaru - and was generally the result from poor or
misjudged breeding. It was sterile, and could not reproduce - and was generally the least desired of
Orbaru, though asside from "poor" coloring and sterility, there was nothing wrong with it.
