Species Standards

Prefered Habitat: *see breed differences*

Diet: Salaves will eat anything (living) that will fit in their mouths.. and thier mouths can open quite wide - so
be cautious, as they can eat children if not watched after properly.

Call: These creatures normally don't make any noise at all, but have occassionally been heard making a
light "hiss" sound...

Special Care Needs:  *see breed differences*

Biology and Anatomy:   Similar to the regular (and less superior) Salaves, the Salaves v2 have 6 insect like
legs along thier side, with a thin "gliding membrane" stretching between them.. however, unlike the original
salaves, the v2 salaves can fold these legs neatly along their side, to prevent them from getting caught or
torn. The protective and large "scale covers" over these legs act like rattles, vibrating when irritated.

Behavioral Study: Salaves V2 are sleek and quick, quicker to strike but less intimidating. Their scales are
brighter, more welcoming, which makes them more popular with the citizens. They, too, are intelligent, and
will often be caught staring at you, seizing you up. Quick to strike without much warning, it's best to use
caution, unless you've trained yours well. More social than their predecessors, they gather in groups
willingly to soak in the sun, but when it comes to hunting, again they go solo. They go after things their size
or smaller, though they aren't so quick to attempt to eat a human, even if it could fit past those jaws. It's not
uncommon to see a group of the same species living together in a warm corner. They tend to get into
things more, knocking everything over on a table or wedging themselves under a door in an attempt to
explore, they go everywhere their skull can fit through, and somehow find their way past every rock holding a
lid down. Unlike the original Salaves' intimidating membrane and legs, these possess much the same,
only more protected. When a feud erupts between two or more Salaves V2, they rattle their legs against the
protective scales, with the loudest and most threatening becoming the victor.

Suggested Uses: Good question.. why WOULD somebody want a pet snake?
Breeds Available
Blaze: The blaze was bred to be infused with the elements of volcanos and fire - and therefore can
withstand any amount of heat it may be exposed to. A "fire snake" so to speak.

Blizard: The blizzard breed is quite special like it's blaze counterpart. It was bred to be infused with the
elements that make the world cold - and therefore can withstand the most freezing temperatures. An "ice
snake" so to speak.

Jade: The jade is not only considered to be the "standard" of the v2 salaves - but is also quite poisonous!
Be cautious when handling the jade.. The jade is also the most delicate as far as environement goes, as
they are cold blooded.. too hot, or too cold, and they may die.. Luckily, they are designed to easily withstand
"jungle" temperatures.. However, if left in a cooler environment, they hibernate during the winter.

Celestial
The Celestial breed is considered the "sky" breed - or even at times the "holy" breed, though this is
debatable.. One thing is for certain - it's shimmering mother-of-pearl scales are that which makes collectors
of rare herps drool.
