Prefered Habitat: The Seryn are completely aquatic creatures, and cannot survive out of the water. All Seryn
with the excption of spring live in salt water - but the temperatures vary by breed... Also - habitat specifics
vary by breed, so please read below.

Diet: In the wild, Seryn eat various things from aquatic plant-life, to small bugs.. but all owners feed their
Seryn Industrial Fish Food, that's the easiest.

Call: Most would say that a fish can make no noise... but a few owners have been blessed with hearing the
Seryn's "song"... have you heard it? It's supposed to be so beautiful to almost make you want to cry.

Special Care Needs:  The Seryn cannot survive out of the water - so make sure they have plenty of it, and
that it remains clean! Seryn also have a particular need for temperature type and prefered hiding places to
keep them happy, so please read about them in the breed differences before setting up it's habitat. Seryn
also, strangly enough for a fish, need attention.. Perhaps you should sit by their tank or pond and read them
stories? Wait... This is odd.. well cared for Seryn.. they can Fly! And thus, no longer require water to live...
they can swim through the air, just as gracefully as swimming through the water... wow.

Biology and Anatomy:   The Seryn seems rather like a typical fish species, shiny-scaled and smooth-finned,
but many differences become evident upon close inspection. For one, they are particularly light if you ever
care to touch their sleek bodies, with thin, fragile bones, in order to reduce weight through flight, and their
front fins are oddly long and soft. This, however, is not enough to actually allow them to fly by means of pure
physics, and therefore it is often suggested that there is some element of magic about this matter. Different
too are their oddly human-like eyes, in contrast to the black buttons that a typical fish has, and their variety of
colors are often considered beautiful by Seryn owners, whom selectively breed them for a wider range.

Behavioral Study: Even though at the baby stage, they're mostly concerned with learning to swim and eat
correctly, in their juvenile stage, they seem to want to explore the waters given to them, and often surface to
greet the land-dwellers that wander their shores, or tank-edges. They are in need of company, and though
they don't swim in groups usually, the DO interact with other species, such as dolphins, or humans quite
frequently.

Suggested Uses: Who wouldn't want a beautiful, magical, and lucky fish? Granted, at the moment, all it can
really do is look pretty - but... perhaps the best loved and cared for Seryn will end up having.. additional
uses to bless their owners with..? ... speaking of additional abilities.. these "wish fish" are indeed special..
if they were well cared for in their younger age, they can even.. Fly!
Breeds Available
Aurora: The Aurora breed lives in the coldest waters - pretty well in any cold water that's not yet ice.. They like
to hide amongst the icebergs, and are seen (although rarely) watching the northern lights in large groups.
Rumors also suggest that their song is the most beautiful - as they are capable of singing in harmony, as
opposed to just by itself.

Kelp: The Kelp breed is designed mostly to "blend in" with it's surroundings. They prefer medium
temperature waters, and hide from predators within' great forests of kelp... It is said that they are the
guardians of the underwater forests - but most of the scientists just think that they're widely hunted by
predators, and hide because of that reasoning.

Spring: Spring.. as in.. "natural spring" - a pure water source usually filled with minerals.. these Seryn are
the only kinds you can find in fresh water, and the minerals seemed to have soaked into their scales, giving
them a metalic golden sheen... They seem to like to collect pebbles, and various shiny things.

Reef: The Reef breed really stands out as far as colors come - and they don't seem to mind. They live in the
warmer waters of the world, and seem to be full of energy - almost playful. If you should dip your fingers in
their water, they're sure to recieve a playful nip.

"Old" Seryn
All Seryn (with the exception of muddy) are able to learn to fly... the love and devotion that their respective
owner has for them not only allows them to grant wishes, but allows them many abilities which are a
symbol of their hearts' love.  Grant wishes, fly, and protect their owners in the harshest of seas and deepest
of oceans, and highest of skies...  Did -you- love your Seryn enough..?
