Species Standards
Prefered Habitat: The Golossle prefer warm, damp locations. They don't like to be out in the open, therefore
jungles and caves are good hiding places for them.
Diet: Golossle seem to feast on anything that can fit in their mouth... Please read breed differences for
details.
Call: Seems to make a small clicking noise.. this is most likely made by the mandibles clicking together,
rather than the noise coming from the throat. They have also been known to make a hissing noise, and on
rare occasions, some sort of complex whistling sounds.
Special Care Needs: One should be cautious of the Golossle's indredible size... These creatures strength
should NOT be underestimated... Please read breed differences below. You should also be cautious as to
what you say around your Golossle! For some strange reason, they appear to have the ability to
comprehend human speech, and if they feel that you might not be treating them to the best of your ability...
Well, please be careful.
Biology and Anatomy: Coming Soon...
Behavioral Study: Even though in it's younger stages of life the Golossle was quite dumb, it's adult stage is
anything but.. These creatures show sign of incredible cleverness and intelligence - and there are rumors
still that they may possess psychic abilities!
Suggested Uses: These bug-like creatures make splendid "battle" pets, and even "guard dogs"... The
common breed is often used to carry small tents, like elephants in far away lands.
Blight: The Blight breed used to be quite poisonous to the touch when frightened (as a baby and juvenile),
and should have been handled with great care. Similar to a poison dart-frog, these creatures can be quite
dangerous. Not only are they poisonous to the touch, but they can deliver a toxic bite, and have the strength
to tear appart your flesh... Luckily though, this breed is rather cautious, and not terribly agressive. Due to it's
incredible poisons however, this breed was all adopted out.
Common: The Common breed is just that... Common. Other than coloration, it seems to have no special
characteristics at all. They prefer to eat rotting vegitation and.. well.. anything that moves slowly enough to
catch without having to actually chase it.. which is usually plant-materials.
Rend: The Rend breed is by far one of the most frightening creatures created by MML, and most likely a
mistake. These creatures are completely unmatched in strength.. Just as an ant can pick up 10x it's own
body weight, the Rend breed can pick up 5x it's own body weight.. it's it's quite a massive creature - I'm sure
you can imagine. There is very little this thing cannot move if it has the will to do so, and it's temper is quite
hot. It's bright red colorations give warning to it's abilities, and thorn-covered body... Most certainly, the Rend
breed is a tank, that is perfectly capable of ripping a man in two with little effort. This breed's release has
been canceled due to safety reasons, and if you own one, please return it to the proper care facility for your
own safety. It should also be known that the Rend breed is strictly carniverous, as opposed to all other
Golossle breeds.
Ethreal: The Ethreal breed is a special creature indeed. Upon hatching, it creates a mental (or spiritual)
bond with it's "owner", and this bond seems to be the only thing keeping the creature in this world - because
of this bond, the Ethreal breed is the fastest learner of the Golossle species. It's body is not physical, and
can rarely be touched. A common nickname given to this breed is the "Ghost" Golossle. The Ethreal
Golossle does not eat, nor does it drink. It is unknown at this time what it does feed off of (for it's not truely
dead), but there are rumors that it feasts off of it's owners spiritual energy... No damage has been reported
so far. Also, because of their special bond, the few Ethreal that did not have an owner present at the time of
their hatching dissapeared into thin air... Such a strange breed. We're terribly sorry if you missed out on
getting one.
