Species Standards

Prefered Habitat: The Drej usually live in caves - or other such dark places, as they're completely blind.
Their bioluminesence helps them to attract prey.

Diet: The Drej usually eat anything that would qualify as "edible" (carniverous, primarily), but their prefered
food is fish. They also love to shred socks, so keep the socks and undies locked up. (or.. buy them a bunch
of good chew-toys).

Call: Like Seekers, Drej let out chuffing sounds to show affection. A low snarl to growl when threatened.
And a soft, song-like call during mating season. The most unique sound, is the sound of their ecolocation -
which is like the sound of two bones rattling together rapidly.

Special Care Needs:  The only problem is that they could attack if they feel threatened, the owner is too
commanding, or they get spooked by something they failed to sense. Mostly, they're just love to be with you,
and are big cuddlebugs - but be cautious not to "spook" them.

Biology and Anatomy:   The Drej are blind, so they have to use thier keen sense of smell, touch,
ecocolocation, and their weak electrical force surrounding their bodies to find their way around. But you can
lead them around with a leash.

Behavioral Study: These creatures certainly do seem imposing, now don't they? Contrary to popular beliefs,
Drej would rather avoid you then attack. They seem to be very bitter and irritable most of the time, which is
most likely due to the fact that they are nearly completely blind and are rather clumsy on their, er, feet. The
Cave breed of Drej tends to be the more docile natured of the two basic breeds, but it is not yet known why.
The Berserker Drej on the other hand, seems to be much more territorial then the Cave breed, making
them ideal for gaurd creatures. It is rumored that all species of Drej have potential to be mounts, but it is
highly reccomended that you train yours to a substantial level until you attempt to mount one, seeing as they
can be very tempermental.

Suggested Uses: Drej are used like large guard-dogs when old enough.. and rumors have it that they will
some-day make good mounts.
Breeds Available
Cave:  The cave is the most common of the two breeds. They are also the more calm-natured of the two
breeds - and have a small problem when dealing with direct sunlight.

Berzerker: The berserker breed is usually kept as more of a household guard then as a mount - due to their
agreesive natures, but they still make good pets

Purge
They are said to have fallen from the heavens. Their legs, and bone-like materials seem to be made of pure
crystal, and give out an odd ring when they walk.
